Can. 1335 §1. If the competent authority imposes or declares a censure in a judicial process or through an extrajudicial decree, that competent authority can also impose those expiatory penalties that it deems necessary to restore justice or to repair scandal.

Can. 1335 §2. If a censure prohibits the celebration of sacraments or sacramentals or the placing of an act of the power of governance, the prohibition is suspended whenever it is necessary to provide for the faithful in danger of death. If a latae sententiae censure has not been declared, the prohibition is also suspended whenever a member of the faithful requests a sacrament or sacramental or an act of the power of governance; one is permitted to request this for any just cause.
