Can. 1331 §1. One who is excommunicated is prohibited: 1° from celebrating the Sacrifice of the Eucharist and the other sacraments; 2° from receiving the sacraments; 3° from administering sacramentals and from celebrating other ceremonies of liturgical worship; 4° from having any active part in the celebrations mentioned above; 5° from exercising ecclesiastical offices, tasks, ministries, and functions; 6° from placing acts of governance.

Can. 1331 §2. But if the excommunication ferendae sententiae has been imposed or the excommunication latae sententiae has been declared, the offender: 1° if he or she decides to act against the prescript of §1, nn. 1-4 must be prevented from doing so, or the liturgical action must be stopped unless a grave cause precludes this; 2° invalidly places acts of governance that are illicit according to the norm of §1, n. 6; 3° is prohibited from benefitting from privileges previously granted; 4° does not acquire compensations that he or she is to have on account of a merely ecclesiastical title; 5° is unqualified to acquire offices, tasks, ministries, functions, rights, privileges, and honorary titles.
